How to load your ebook:

Instructions for both PC and Mac:

  • Install Send to Kindle
  • Open Send to Kindle and sign into your Amazon account
  • Drop your .mobi into the Send to Kindle window
  • Sync your Kindle device or app
  • The .mobi will appear in the “Docs” or “Books” section of your Kindle.

 

Note: The Kindle Fire and the 4th Gen Kindle will put the .mobi in the “Docs”  or “Home” section, not the “Books” section.

Kindle for iOS

 

If you have a link to the ebook:

  1. Click on the link and the Kindle app will appear as an option.

If you have the ebook file:

  1. You can send the .mobi to your iOS device by emailing it to yourself
  2. When you try to open the email attachment on your device, the Kindle app will appear as an option.

iBooks

 

If you have a link to the ebook:

  1. Click on the link and iBooks will appear as an option.

If you have the ebook file:

  1. You can send the .epub to your iOS device by emailing it to yourself
  2. When you open the email attachment on your device, iBooks will appear as an option.

Google Play

 

First, download the Google Play Books app.

If you’re on your Android device:

  1. Open the .epub on your device and touch Upload to Play Books
  2. Files will appear in My Library > Uploads.

If you’re on your computer:

  1. Go to Google Play Books
  2. Near the top right of your screen, click Upload files
  3. Choose the .epub and click Select
  4. Files will appear in your Uploads library.

Nook

 

  1. Connect your Nook to your computer with your USB cable
  2. Your Nook will appear as a removable drive called “media” or “nook”
  3. Move the .epub into My Files > Books or My Files > Digital editions
  4. Eject / disconnect your Nook.

Windows

 

  1. Download the Kindle app for Windows
  2. Right-click on the .mobi file and choose Open With > Kindle

Other alternatives (for .epub):

Kobo

 

  1. Connect your Kobo ereader to your computer with your Micro USB cable
  2. Your Kobo will appear as a removable drive called “KOBOeReader”
  3. Drag and drop the .epub onto KOBOeReader
  4. Eject / disconnect your Kobo.

Sony

 

  1. Open the Sony Reader software on your PC or Mac
  2. Connect your device using your USB cable
  3. In the Sony Reader software, click the My Library tab
  4. Select File > Import and choose the .epub
  5. Once it appears in your library, press the Copy to Reader button
  6. The .epub will sync to your Sony Reader
  7. Once the sync has finished, eject / disconnect your device.
